We're in big trouble

By most accounts, President Obama's recent meetings with British PM Gordon Brown didn't go well. Why didn't Obama handle the situation better?
Overwhelmed? I can understand that Obama has a lot on his plate, but he asked for this job. Surely, he thought through what he was taking on when he decided to run for president. Being "overwhelmed" is not an excuse. He's the leader of the free world. He wanted the job. Now, he's going to have to learn to walk and chew gum at the same time.
And there's this:
He's surprised at how busy he is? Seriously? What did he think he was signing up for -- a community organizer job? Why doesn't he have time to handle his responsibilities? What is he REALLY spending his time on? Oh wait, there's this...and this...and these. I'm not an expert in time management, but perhaps the president should have a few less White House Happy Hours and cut down on the parties. He acts like he's still on his "I'm the king of the world" victory lap. It's time to get to work, Mr. President. We're drowning out here and you're the coast guard. Why don't you turn the music down on your boat and throw us a life preserver? Or are you too "busy" and "overwhelmed" to do that?
Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.

Not to mention his sorry policies, that are killing our country already with less than two months in office. Just imagine how bad it's going to be two years from now. I believe he will make Jimmy Carter administration look good, if that is possible.
