The deficit

Ouch:
If that didn't sink in, you might want to read it again.
Wow. Don't worry, though. The Democrats are in charge and they're on top of this! They already have a plan in place to fix everything. They're going to grow the government and keep squeezing private industry. They want to raise taxes and provide amnesty for millions of low-skilled, low-wage illegal aliens.
They'll have this whole thing under control in no time at all.
Just in case their plans for prospering the nation don't work out, though, maybe we should have a backup plan. Perhaps we could have a national bake sale. Or how about a huge raffle? Or maybe they could sell surplus office supplies and furniture on eBay. Or -- and here's a crazy thought -- they could stop spending money we don't have and start working to jumpstart the economy in the private sector. I know that's a wacky idea, but it just might be crazy enough to work.
In a chilling forecast, the White House is predicting a 10-year federal deficit of $9 trillion - more than the sum of all previous deficits since America's founding. And it says by the next decade's end the national debt will equal three-quarters of the entire U.S. economy.
If that didn't sink in, you might want to read it again.
