Stimulus for illegal aliens

February 10th 2009 01:48
From Michelle Malkin's website:

GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions and Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson attempted several times to bring their bipartisan amendment to the floor last week. SA 239 would require local governments and businesses that receive porkulus money to use the federal E-Verify citizenship check system.

That's just a common sense amendment, right? Apparently not:

But Democrat Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid refused to allow it to come to the floor. Now, we’re headed for cloture.

Earlier today, Jeff Sessions tried again to introduce the amendment. Again, it was shot down.

But, hey, it's not like there are AMERICANS or LEGAL RESIDENTS who need all those jobs. Isn't that right, Senator Reid?

It's truly mind-numbing to just be a helpless spectator as the "representatives of the people" sell the country down the river.

Their should be a uprising for this idiotic display of moronic behavior of Harry Reid, I just wish there was a way to get this news to the mass. Just as there is a bottle neck on the money available to loan, there is equally a bottle neck on information getting to the American people. Shame on the liberal media outlets like ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN.

Those "representatives" only represent their own stupidity, PopCon. If the majority of American voters understood what's going on, every one of the rotten buggers would be out of office in the next election (if not impeached immediately!) But it seems that the Sheeple just vote mechanically, with no thought process involved.

It's really unconscionable, Lester and SL. Americans are suffering and these sellouts in Washington would rather the jobs and financial support go to illegal aliens instead of Americans. The problem with the media is that they are complicit in the immigration mess. They constantly push stories that are pro-illegal-immigration and suppress stories that show how illegal immigration is hurting American citizens. I feel like I'm in a bad Twilight Zone episode most of the time when it comes to the issue of illegal immigration. Those politicians see either cheap labor (GOP) or future voters (Dems), though. That's why they put the interests of illegals over the interests of Americans.

Sadly true, PopCon, but we keep electing the idiots and they don't have term limits so they get away with it for decades.
