Obstruction can be a good thing

July 18th 2010 20:49
Lately, the Democrats have been desperately screaming about not being able to implement their policies because of the obstruction of those dastardly Republicans. It's a common refrain these days. They've branded the GOP as "the party of no" in an attempt to shift blame away from themselves. Here is just one of the resulting discussions based on this moronic theme. In it, a GOP senator is asked to defend his party against those brain-dead "party of no" charges.

I've got news for you: Sometimes obstruction can be a good thing. If I'm in a car and the driver is about to drive us over a cliff, pardon me if I want to obstruct his ability to do so. If I'm standing in a pool of gasoline and the idiot with me has a lit match that he's about to drop, maybe obstructing him isn't such a bad idea. Our country IS in a car that's heading over a cliff and Obama and the Dems have the pedal to the metal. Our country IS standing in a pool of gasoline and Obama and the Dems are trying to drop a lit match and burn us all up. Thank goodness for obstruction.

The GOP is ridiculously far from perfect, but to obstruct when someone is trying to destroy the country is something I'm exceedingly thankful for.

Instead of apologizing for always saying "NO", we should be proud that we have the sense left to do so. The democrats are getting desperate, PopCon, to be calling names (like racist and bigot) and making accusations of "obstructionism" instead of figuring out that the fault lies in their idiotic and destructive policies. Sort of like a small child who says Mommy is mean because she won't let him play in the street.

SL, if I had failed as miserably as the Democrats have, I guess I'd be deflecting blame as well.

I bet you'd change your ways and revise your thinking, though, wouldn't you? They're deflecting blame while still doing the same things. Even the most devoted believer has to be starting to wonder.

The sad fact is the liberal media are not telling the facts, but are a cover up mode to protect the worst president we have ever had.

I can only hope that the misinformed voters that voter democrat last time will have seen the hand writing on the wall by now, and are ready to join in with rest of us Americans to take our country back from the brink destruction.

Cause if we don't Our country as we know it will no longer exist. We have seen much of it already changed to something we thought never could happen but did. If we can just hold our ground long enough for Nov., maybe we can save what's left.

God Bless the Republicans that resist this present evil.

Two more years of Obama scares me, Lester. But if the GOP can take at least one chamber of Congress, they can halt the most dangerous activities.
