Obamacare and the Supremes

This should be interesting:
I thought Obama would drag this out and push it past the 2012 election. I was wrong. It sounds like he wants it decided prior to November. Perhaps he is worried he'll lose, and he wants final resolution on this while he still has some control over the legal process.
If the Supreme Court takes it up (and they almost certainly have to because of the competing rulings from lower courts), it will become a bigger campaign issue than it already is. If the Supremes strike Obamacare down, it will undo Obama's biggest domestic accomplishment and will mean that Obama's first year and a half in office were entirely wasted. If it doesn't get struck down, Obama will view it as a victory, but I don't think the American people will. The latest polls show that most Americans don't like the program. Also, this will just be another reminder that Obama spent that year and a half working on this when he should've been working on jobs.
Either way, I don't see this impacting his campaign in a positive way next year.
The Obama administration has decided not to ask a federal appeals court in Atlanta for further review of a ruling striking down the centerpiece of President Barack Obama's sweeping health care overhaul.
The administration's decision makes it more likely that the U.S. Supreme Court would hear a case on the health care overhaul in the court's term starting next month, and render its verdict on the law in the midst of the 2012 presidential election campaign.

With that being said, something needs to be done about rising healthcare costs. I don't much trust the GOP to fix it. They don't think it's a problem. However, I'm certain that Obamacare isn't the right solution.
