Obama and the August break

Barack Obama implored Congress to send him a health care bill to sign before the August break. Now we know why he wanted to rush it through. In town hall meetings across the country, unhappy constituents are speaking up and making sure that their voices are being heard by their elected officials:

These YouTube videos filled with images of angry voters won't exactly build momentum for passing any of the Democratic health care plans. I believe Obama feared this would happen. He lost control of the debate early on and now it'll be harder than ever to regain that control.

The Political Brief

It may have been the fact that everyone who planned to sign it refused to read it, PopCon! Any signature to pass it will pretty much guarantee unemployment in 2010 and the turkeys are beginning to understand it. Their jobs are all they have and that's way too much!

Angry Electorate

This response has the Dems spooked, SL. They live in their bubble in Washington and think they know what's best for the country, but folks out here in flyover country are getting angrier and angrier about how Washington is spending us into a financial armageddon. It's about time they had to face their bosses (us).

They're already trying to escape from us, PopCon! Some of them are refusing to hold their town hall meetings in person and are doing it via phone! LOL Maybe they understand how close the tar and feathers really are!

I wonder how they'll behave once they return to their ivory tower, though...
