Green jobs scam

September 10th 2011 19:02
Obama's promise of a green jobs revolution is being exposed for the fraud that it is:

Federal agents have expanded their examination of the now-bankrupt California solar power company Solyndra, visiting the homes of the company's CEO and two of its executives, examining computer files and documents, iWatch News and ABC News have learned.

This is a company that Obama touted as a shining example of the green movement. It's also a company that Obama had political ties to and that we (the taxpayers) were supporting:

The raid and visits come amid increasing evidence the Justice Department and Inspector General are exploring whether Solyndra mislead the government in securing its $535 million loan in 2009 -- and landing a vital refinancing of that loan earlier this year. Beginning in March, ABC News, in partnership with iWatch News/the Center for Public Integrity, was first to report on simmering questions about the role political influence may have played Solyndra's selection as the Obama administration's first loan guarantee recipient. One of the lead private investors in Solyndra was an Oklahoma billionaire who served as an Obama "bundler," raising money during the 2008 presidential campaign.

So a company that an influential Obama supporter invested in was given more than half a billion taxpayer dollars that'll we probably never recoup.

Seriously?

Keep your eyes out for the coverup on this one. The stink of Obama's dirty politics is all over this, and he'll be desperate to throw someone -- ANYONE but himself -- under the bus in order to avoid blame.

Obama says he likes to "stay above the fray." It's becoming obvious that Obama CREATES the fray. He makes a mess and then tries to disavow involvement.

What a pathetic joke of a "leader" we have.

And now another "porkulus" aka "jobs" bill is being shoved at us. The campaigner in chief seems intent on bankrupting us as he runs around between vacations and campaign stops. How he gets away with all this is a mystery to me... not.

We just have to find a way to get him out of office, SL. I'll vote for whomever is most likely to beat him. We can't survive another four years of his ineptitude and corruption.

Wow ... nice post! I read something about the company failing and being looked at suspiciously but I had not seen anything on the Obama connection.

Obama is but a Chicago hoodlum by trade and a rather inept one to boot. When he first took office he issued an executive order requiring all Federal construction jobs go to union contractors now he wants to use taxpayer money to fund Federal construction projects as a stimulus. To me this is just simply funneling taxpayer money to the unions so they can in turn contribute more to his campaign coffers.

government by the bribe, for the bribe and of the bribe shall not perish from this earth.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems they are getting bolder and more shameless on handing out money to dubious people for dubious causes and then demanding more!

Everything that goes wrong turns out to be because we didn't bribe some of Obama's pals enough.

I think that's called "protection" in Chicago.

I hope this man will finally be exposed for the fraud he is. I will say this while I have the freedom to say it.

He is trying to destroy America from with in, the terrorist couldn't do it from without. I believe him to be an enemy of American, and should be arrested for treason.

I wish we had someone with the authority and the nerve to do it, Lester. It would be better for the country.

Rick, I applaud ABC for covering this. I just hope they stick with the story. However, I suspect they'll go into full Obama protection mode soon. Even if he doesn't please them, their hatred for conservatism overwhelms any journalistic ethics they have.

Michael, this is yet another example of why we need to get money out of elections. Obama probably felt like he needed to pay back his "bundler" and funded this boondoggle for his buddy with taxpayer money. Now, we're screwed. But, hey, what's a half a billion dollars? That's pocket change for our free-spending political overlords.

I wonder the same thing, Lester. He couldn't do a better job of destroying the country if he tried. Then, it dawned on me -- maybe he is trying to destroy us.

Rick, I hope the (usually clueless) GOP has hearings on this nonsense. And there should be a prominent 2012 campaign ad highlighting these grifters.
