For one night only!

The Democratic Senate and congressional campaign committees will not accept cash from political action organizations or lobbyists during a fundraiser to be headlined by President Obama, a Democratic source confirms to CNN.

The White House stipulated the condition for the major June 18 fundraising event, expected to raise millions for 2010 Senate and congressional candidates.

For a whole night? Wow! This really is change we can believe in! I'm sure all of those influence-seeking donors will be deterred by this incredibly principled and meaningful stand against the buying and selling of America.

Obama's next big act: In 2010, he will refuse to accept PAC and lobbyist money for TWO days.

The crown prince of meaningless symbolic gestures strikes again.

Is he serious, SL? Does he really thinks this matters at all? This is like his initiative to cut a meaningless amount from the budget while he spending trillions. Maybe he's hoping people are too dumb to through these empty charades.

All this does is draw attention to his hypocrisy.

The Political Brief

It draws attention to those of us who pay attention, PopCon. To the faithful Democrats, it shows that he's "trying". Maybe next, he'll get a teaspoon and try to empty the great lakes before "glo-bull warming/cooling/climate change/whatever" can freeze dry them. All flash and style with not a crumb of substance... it's what got him elected.

Round Politics

The whole lot of them starting with B.O. to the least of the democrats, and some republicans, they are all political prostitutes, and finding political religion for one night doesn't change what they are, nor makes up for what they have done.

If they truly wanted to make amends, they would all resign, and get out of Washington before they do anymore damage.
