Dems want to focus on jobs

January 23rd 2010 10:09
How about that? The Democrats (the Senate Democrats, at least) want to focus on jobs. It's only a year late. They should have focused on jobs from the time of Obama's inauguration. Now, a year later, what do we have to show for their efforts from the last year? We're facing trillions in debt, 10% unemployment, and no real prospects for bending that health care "cost curve" that they've been talking about for the last few months.

Heckuva job, Democrats. Heckuva job.

Their efforts at job creation are every bit as brilliant as everything else they do, PopCon. Hard to imagine anyone being surprised, though... If the Democrats would remove their blindfolds, even they could see what's happening.

They would not have been thinking about jobs if it had not been for the voters sending a very loud and clear message through the last few elections, but I think Mass. woke up a few.

It will be interesting to see how long they can focus on issues that really matter, before they go back shoving stuff down our throats that we don't want.

They were determined to push through their agenda, SL. I can understand that, but they shouldn't have ignored the reality of the situation when they came in. The economy was already in the tank and we were already hemorrhaging jobs. If they had fixed the economy first, they would've had a lot of political capital to spend. They didn't and they don't, though.

It's amazing -- and scary -- that it took the Massachusetts election to get them to listen, Lester.

They truly do live in a bubble in Washington.

I made up my mind...VOTE THEM ALL OUT.I was always a Democrate, but not any more.I feel they betrayed the American people. As for our leader(???).He showed right off by not addressing our flag and bowing to the Arabs. His apology for the arogance of the USA and many more things...Are you people blind..STOP IT BEFORE IT GOES ANY FURTHER

Your wish will be largely granted, BMH. Folks are fed up and ready to throw the bums out. If we're still facing 10% unemployment in November, people will be ready to storm Washington with torches and pitchforks.
