Here's Joe Biden being Joe Biden again:
There's nothing wrong with Biden privately advising his own family about the precautions they should be taking. However, when he offers advice publicly that is inconsistent with the advice of the government, he creates a problem. At that point, we have a mixed message coming from Washington. He IS the government. He has access to information we don't have. By advising people in such a way, he creates confusion and, possibly, alarm amongst the American people. Is Biden right? Are circumstances more dangerous and dire than the government is letting on?
I realize that Joe Biden is a loose cannon, but Obama really needs to get him under control. He is not doing the administration any favors.
Biden, who has three grown children, was asked whether he would advise his own family against flying to Mexico on a commercial flight.
"It's not just going to Mexico, if you're any place in a confined aircraft and one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft," Biden said. "That's me. I would not be at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway."
